Analysis
coversation :
1. turn taking
We can notice that this data extract
consist of two turns at talk from different speaker. Bethany uses falling
intonation and body language to signal the end of the turn.
2. adjacency pairs
In this briefe sequence. Bethany utters the first pair part (FPP) “hey alex, i missed you in the library today”
in line 01-02 this type of utterance may be define as “say hay” or there are something meaning from bethany utterance may
be she want ask alex “ why she not meet
alex in the library today” in line 05 alex responds with the
second pair part (SPP) “ I was a bit, a bit of busy” which is
interpretable of respond to the questions. In this case, the spp is preferred
response because the statement is accepted by alex who said “ i was a bit, a bit of busy”. In line o6
